Executive Director â€“ Summary of the Position
The Infant Welfare Society of Evanston seeks a compassionate, accomplished leadership professional to serve as its next Executive Director. The ideal candidate will provide a collaborative leadership style, knowledge of child development, mental health, and urban poverty, administrative skills, financial acumen, and the overall leadership experience to ensure the stability and growth for the Infant Welfare Society of Evanston and its programs. The Executive Director will further develop and maintain relationships with a variety of constituencies including government relations, board members, partner agencies, staff, community leaders, and the public at large.
The Executive Director will develop and implement the Agency’s strategic and programmatic objectives. She/he will oversee the entire operation of the Agency, provide leadership to the Board of Directors in the development and management of Agency policy, and oversee innovative program planning, program development and operations. The Executive Director will also be instrumental in growing development success by leading fundraising and public relations efforts, with a special emphasis on diversifying income streams, to ensure achievement of stability, health, and growth on behalf of the children and families in need in our area.
